Emmy Frederickson, CISR
Director of Communications
I was raised on my family’s third-generation farm in west central Minnesota, and moved with my family in 1998 to the Twin Cities when it was sold. I studied Vocal Performance at Luther in Decorah, IA; Graphic Design and Art History at the College of Visual Arts in St. Paul; and attended Sister Rosalind Gefre’s School of Massage, having obtained certification in Myofascial Release and Trigger Point Therapy. In 2009, I joined the Farmers Union Insurance Agency family in an Administrative position, and obtained Property Casualty licensure and attained my CISR designation in 2016. I’m currently Director of Communications, assisting Agents with advertising, graphic design, web design, and administering the company’s intranet site, SharePoint. I am also working toward my CISR Elite designation. In my free time, I enjoy attending Minnesota Beard & Moustache Coalition functions and meetings with my husband, Devon Grandbois (who serves on the Executive Committee); assisting him with home brewing, and sampling craft beer around the many taprooms in Minnesota and Wisconsin. I love traveling and live music, as well, and am proud of my rural upbringing. Our cats, Sassy and Buddy, are our kids. I’m passionate about animal rescue and welfare and enjoy inserting my creativity into projects at work and at home.
